Hi! Thanks for visiting!

I'm Sam, a musicologist, music theorist, composer, and pianist based in Providence, Rhode Island. I currently teach music theory at the Borough of Manhattan Community College and run a social media project called Social Media Music Theory.

Check out the following pages to learn more about my work:

  • About Me - a short bio, describing my teaching and research experience
  • My CV - a detailed resume, including my research interests, publications, education, teaching jobs, and service work
  • Social Media Music Theory - my new and really exciting endeavor to help people explore the humongous world of music theory on social media.
  • My public lectures - titles, descriptions, dates, and locations
  • My language projects - I'm a huge language nerd! These are just a few of my crazy side projects in the arena of playful polyglottery.

Feel free to explore the rest of my website, too, and I'd love to hear from you if you ever feel like chatting!
